What is reiki?
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive, relaxing, healing treatment.
All living things have energy flowing through them, sometimes that energy can get blocked or disrupted. This can be due to illness, pain, stress, anxiety or emotional imbalance.
Reiki promotes deep relaxation, inner peace and a quiet mind, whilst toxins are cleared, balancing the bodys energies, calming the nervous system and promoting calmness, improving mood and better sleep.
Who is it for?
Anyone can benefit from Reiki.
What to expect:
Treatment involves lying down, fully clothed, on a treatment couch. The therapist gently placing their hands on or over energy points in your body with the aim of kick-starting the energy flow, releasing blocked energies, cleansing the body of toxins and working to restore physical and emotional balance.
The experience of a treatment may vary for each individual as you might experience a sense of deep, blissful relaxation, floating, tingling, warmth, heaviness, lightness, movement or a release. Whatever you feel and see during a session is a unique experience to you.
There are a number of reputable scientific studies on reiki therapy that show a significant reduction in perceived anxiety, an increase in immunological functioning, a significant drop in systolic blood pressure, reduction in pain, and less pain medication required.
Reiki therapy is focused on overall wellness, reducing anxiety, muscle tension and blood pressure.
The energy-based system of reiki therapy has endless potential, and can be useful to aid in healing the body both emotionally and physically.
There is a reason that Reiki has become increasingly popular, and that is because so many people find great benefits in the treatments.
